Biography

JT The Bigga Figga is a hip hop producer/rapper from San Francisco, California’s Fillmore neighborhood. He became the subject of considerable underground buzz thanks to the success of his self-released 1993 LP Playaz N’ The Game; a major-label bidding war ensued, and he ultimately signed with Priority to issue 1995′s Dwellin’ In Tha Labb.

In 2002, JT’s own Get Low label kicked into high gear, releasing four JT albums: Know About It with Tha Gamblaz, Gotta Get It with Juvenile, Hustle Relentless, and the guest star-filled Street Warz. Project Poetry hit the streets in 2003 while both Neighborhood Supastarz and Who Grind Like Us? landed in 2005. In fall of 2005, he became the A&R for the West Coast operations of the Houston, TX based Rap-A-Lot Records.

He has had a role in the 2004 Spike Lee movie, Sucker Free City. He played Killa Ski, a fictional rapper who had a minor role in the film. Currently JT is working with Snoop Dogg on a documentary DVD entitled Mandatory Business, which feature the likes of Russell Simmons, Spike Lee, Xzibit, Young Buck and 50 Cent. There will also be a soundtrack released for the documentary.
